How can we imagine and practise a life beyond capitalism while being connected to globale movements for transformations in our everyday local life? The Week of Change Berlin-Brandenburg organizes excursions to Housing projects, Community Supported Agriculture, Commons, Repair Cafés, Cryptoparties, Solidarity Economy, Care Recolution.
As part of the Week of Change 2018 and in collaboration with Taschengeldfirma, Elisabeth Voss, Freimeuter and neighbours, we organized coffee, cake and a pop-up repairshop for a discussion of the Tempelhofer Feld as commons. We wanted to provoke a conversion about how old buildings on the former airport site could be used beyond profit orientation and neoliberal urban politics and talk through how and why solidarity-based economies and political confrontation belong together.
