In December 2019, in cooperation with some of our long-time fellow academics, activists and friends, we organized a series of activities on mapping, walking and narrating urban space.
We presented Not-an-Atlas at the squatted social center Scugnizzo Liberato where we also installed an exhibition of counter-maps. As part of the Eco*Walking series, with the study groups Laboratorio del Cammino and Ecologie Politiche del Presente, we explored the city, walking from the central Piazza Cavour to Scampia in the northern periphery. At l’Asilo, a self-governed and open community of artists and socio-cultural workers in the heart of Naples, we reflected walking beyond in a collective mapping process. The resulting map is narrated collectively in the video below.
