Since 2023, we work with the Xokleng Konglui community, offering artistic and academic tools, to support the retomada’s struggle for their territory. We collectively produced silk-screen campaigns, maps, and publications.
In June 2026 the book „Jug Og Pãn Txi – Na trilha dos nossos antepassados: a retomada do território Xokleng Konglui“ edited by chief Cunllugn Veitchá Teie, Bibiana Harrote Pereira da Silva (UFRGS) and Paul Schweizer (kollektiv orangotango) will be published by Imotirõ, Porto Alegre. The book that emerges from a collaborative research process between the Xokleng Konglui community, the historian Bibiana and Paul from kollektiv orangotango, maps the history of the retomada – from the ancestral Xokleng territoriality, to the struggle for a futures on the Konglui territory in the Serra Gaúcha. Combining oral history with drawings by the community’s youngest members and the researchers with the graphic work of Porto Alegre based artist Lucas Icó, the book is the result of an ongoing ethnographic and artistic collaboration which will continue to give rise to cultural and educational projects, as well as further publications.
